Law firms and companies are increasingly using contract automation to prepare business contracts. Document assembly should allow users to save time, become more competitive, and reduce risk. In theUnited States and the United Kingdom, contract automation has been seen as a way to commoditizelegal services and reduce costs, particularly in low-margin, high-volume transactions. But even at the topendof the market the impact of contract automation is being felt, with large law firms and companiesdesigning their own document-assembly systems both for internal use and also for use by current and potential clients.
